Little Tony, born Antonio Caiacci, began his musical career in 1958 when he was persuaded by the English entrepreneur Jack Good to go England with his
brohers. Thus the band that was to become "Little Tony and his Brothers" was created and is the only internationally famous rock'n'roll act to come out
of Italy. From his first SanRemo appearance in 1961 when he appeared in a duet alongside Adriano Celentano. He has since made many other appearances at
this famous music festival and has had many hit singles and albums, his first hit single being "Il ragazzo col ciuffo" in 1962.
Tony's successful career went from strength to strength and he made (and still makes) numerous appearences in film and television throughout Europe and
the Americas. The absolute zenith of this extrordinary career was undoubtedly the concert he gave in the Piazza Della Repubblica at Valvori on a hot
August night in 1990. At the time I didn't know who he was and don't remember him singing. However, I do remember his backing singers... strangely!
